3.4 Hashtags and Keywords #️⃣

Do we use hashtags on X?

Generally, no.

Hashtags are a thing of Instagram from 2010.

That being said, there are still two cases where we still want to use them.

  1. Location-based hashtags.
If you want to target demographics, hashtags will help.

  2. Viral hashtags.
If a hashtag is trending, you’ll get more reach if you use it.

The BEST way to get more reach is simply to be aware of your keywords.

When you use the search bar, how many times have you used the #?

Probably next to 0.

That’s because everyone uses keywords to search.

Content gets more reach when you use keywords that are searched often.

This doesn’t mean you should go ahead and make a section on your tweet to randomly list off words.

Just be aware of it,

And shift the words you use to get more visibility.

For example, if you tweet “scam, drain, etc.” You’ll get 20-30 bots engaging with you based on the scam keywords.

With “airdrop, giveaway” you’ll get a bunch of bots entering the airdrop or giveaway.

Should you use bots for engagement?

Absolutely not. But it shows you how individual words will make a big impact in your reach.
